Wizard Duel 3005

After eons of intermittent conflict, The Wizards have finally decided to settle their rivalry once and for all. Having challenged each other to a duel of sword and sorcery, they set the conditions to their deadly confrontation: They will fight in five different locations across the realms, where the first wizard to best their rival a total of fifteen times shall declare themselves the winner.

Wizard Duel 3005 is a local multiplayer split-screen deathmatch where players fight each other by swinging their swords and slinging spells through motion controls from their mobile phones.

Made in 48 hours for the 2025 ARADEV Game Jam.

SET UP

In order to play the game you will need a desktop computer and two mobile phones. The desktop will run the game and the  phones will act as the controllers for the players.

First, download the desktop executable in a computer (Windows or Linux), and install the mobile application in each of the player's phones (Android only).

Ensure that the computer and both mobile phones are in the same local network. Run the desktop game. The main menu will show the local IP address of the desktop computer.  Run the android applications and introduce the aforementioned IP address. You are now ready to play.

HOW TO PLAY

Move your character by tilting your phone. Stand still by holding your phone upright, and move by tilting the phone in a direction. The sword will swing along your movement.

You can cast spells by touching the screen. While pressing, your movement will stop and you can aim your sword to cast fireballs.
